Excel Power Construction was originally founded by Bob James in 1996. Mr. James graduated his Bsc Mech Eng in 1979; completing his design and construction training with Babcock Power. For over 30 years Bob James has carried out major works at most power stations and Petro-chemical stations across the UK and has completed the majority of the largest project work at Aberthaw Power Station. This work includes the first secondary superheater outlet header changes, primary headers and Ferrybridge boiler suspension modifications along with many other upgrades of plant such as the fuel oil boiler modifications and revamp in 1985, involving pipework and structural design.
