Damage and Repair
A site visit was carried out to properly assess the extent of the damage before the railings were delivered to our workshops. As always, great care was taken to salvage as much of the original ironwork as possible, however, some elements were damaged beyond repair and new castings were required.
Once the repairable orignial ironwork was cleaned and shotblasted and the replacement castings arrived work began on re assembling the railings and the four sided railing posts. The ironwork was then painted in a green colour which was matched to the original and the finials and decorative elements were painted in a gold paint.
We then delivered and re installed the railings. The clients were pleased with the final result and were kind enough to provide a detailed and informative review which you can see below
