Good Progress On Manufacturing Expansion

Following the announcement last year of Forbes plans to expand their large thermoplastic tanks facility, work is progressing well and is scheduled to be completed by June. This expansion is necessary due to the demand for large thermoplastic tanks in HDPE – PE 100, which Forbes can manufacture up to 100 cubic metres in capacity with wall thickness in excess of 100mm, depending on contents & operating conditions. The expansion sees the addition of four overhead cranes & a semi-automatic mandrel carrier, to handle the large range of steel mandrels. The largest of which is a 4 metre diameter unit which weighs 19 tonnes. This expansion will give Forbes 40% increase in capacity.
