Forbes are in the process of installing their fourth CNC automated sheet butt fusion welding machine. This is required for use with the company’s recent £1.7 million investment in the Krah machine, used for the automated production of helically wound tanks in PE100 high density polyethylene, with capacities to 100m3. The new butt fusion welding machine is capable of butt fusing sheet material up to 60mm thick, with widths up to 4 metres.
