Formit Are On The Move

After years of make do in their previous manufacturing facility, the Directors at Formit Matthew, Robert and Jamie, have decided to purchase new premises. The new Factory will provide much needed extra manufacturing capacity and is more suitable for our type of equipment. Over the years we have sometimes struggled to fulfil larger projects due to the limited space we have had available ‘says’ Jamie Potts (Sales and Engineering Director). In the past, we have even rented extra manufacturing space elsewhere, now we will have the ability to take on multiple larger projects at a time under one roof. The new facility, will have a new purpose-built overhead crane installed to assist with the new builds and all our heavy lifting needs. New machines can be designed & built with more ease and improved workflow ‘says’ Robert Lee (Technical Director). Exciting times ahead for the team at Formit, who take a real pride in their “in-house” designed & built equipment, and are also currently in discussions with the local training centres of excellence to join the apprentice scheme and bring new young people into Engineering to help develop & shape the future of the company.
