Outgoing President Mario Del-Signore hands over the presidency to Kaz Spiewakowski.
One of the key areas of emphasis will be education, with a particular focus on enhancing the process of developing and delivering new material. The GAI intends to explore measures such as content validation, third-party audits, and the creation of fresh educational resources.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Kaz stated, "I am delighted to be taking over the presidency of the Guild. CPD and compliance is vital for our members - becoming trained and demonstrating competence. The work done over the past few years has increased the focus on professionalism, particularly the REG AI status and the aim is to continue that."
Simon Forrester, Chief Executive of the Guild of Architectural Ironmongers, expressed his delight with Kaz assuming the role of GAI President. Highlighting the longstanding collaboration between GEZE and the GAI, with many GEZE team members holding GAI qualifications or participating in Guild committees, he wished Kaz a fruitful presidency.
Architectural Ironmongers play a vital role by offering specialized scheduling services and technical support to architects and contractors. They help specify and install products that meet the necessary standards, ensuring their suitability and compliance with regulations.
