Ely Cathedral chooses A-Max cases
24-09-2009
We are delighted to be able to report that our A-Max aluminium display cases were recently specified as part of a signage project for Ely Cathedral.
Designers Maddison Graphic were commissioned by the cathedral Architects, Purcell Miller Tritton, and the Dean & Chapter at Ely Cathedral to design replacement wayfinding and information panels. The signs are positioned at seven entrances to the cathedral precinct, the idea being that any visitor to the cathedral would pass one of them. Three of the information panels are abutted by a second poster case containing notices.
“Choosing poster cases as opposed to screen printed or stove enamelled panels allows the cathedral to update the information on the signs periodically with minimal additional expense, hence the information panels within the cases are printed on Dibond sheet”, says Alfie Maddison of Maddison Graphic
Carol Campbell, Chief Administrator at Ely Cathedral agrees - “It was important that any new signs were as unobtrusive as possible. The poster cases supplied by Greenbarnes are simple and elegant; they look permanent without impacting on the historic environment”.
The cases used are A1 and A0 landscape variants finished with a semi-gloss powder-coated finish in RAL 7021 black/grey which blends harmoniously with their sensitive location.
