Deadline set for the Robin Cosgrove prize

Deadline set for the 5th edition of the Robin Cosgrove prize, for Ethics in Finance. robin-cosgrove-picGuardian Wealth Management are once again proud to support the ‘Robin Cosgrove prize for Ethics in Finance.’ The prize aims to promote the importance of ethics in finance worldwide, a topic made only more significant in the wake of the global economic crash. $20,000 will be won by one or more of the applicants, who must be aged 35 or under; for submitting a paper on ‘innovative ideas for ethics in finance.’ The goal is to promote the vision of Robin Cosgrove, a talented UK investment banker, who died tragically aged just 31. Robin was passionate that trust in the finance industry was paramount, concerned that a deficit had formed which threatened to destroy people’s faith in the industry and stunt economic development. The competition calls for creative, well considered papers to promote Robin’s vision of strong ethics in finance and is supported by the CFA institute, ACCA Global, and has previously been won by rising talents all across the globe. The prize is open to competitors worldwide, with the best papers published in Finance and the Common Good/Bien Commun and found on the website: www.robincosgroveprize.org The financial management of the prize is undertaken by the International Finance Observatory, a not-for-profit organisation working with Dr Carol Cosgrove Sacks, Robin’s mother and a former director in the United Nations in Geneva. Winners will be chosen by an international jury made up of well-respected industry experts, and will enjoy all, or a share of, the $20,000 prize fund. Ethics in Finance, the Robin Cosgrove prize is an amazing opportunity to have your voice heard, make a difference and continue the legacy of one of our industry’s bright young talents who was taken too soon. Papers must be submitted electronically by midnight April 15th 2015 written in either English or French, must be no more than 5000 words and meet three criteria: Intellectual rigour; Innovative ideas; Clear conclusions.
