Guardian Wealth Management has appointed David Russell as Senior Executive Officer of its Qatar office. He takes over the role from Guardian’s Group Chief Executive David Howell. David Russell has been instrumental in helping Guardian Wealth Management (GWM) build its presence in Europe and is set to do the same in the Middle East. A graduate of Edinburgh University Law School, from which he attained an Honours Degree as a Bachelor of Laws, David began his career with GWM in Geneva, helping from inception to establish an office which is now regarded as one of the leading providers of independent financial advice to the employees of many international organisations. From Geneva, David was promoted to GWM’s emerging headquarters in Brussels, serving a successful five-year tenure, during which time he established the company as a leading player in the international market, frequently advising the diplomatic staff of NATO and the European Commission on their personal finances while living internationally. With the expansion of the company into the Middle East, David has been elected to take over the reins as the Senior Executive Officer of Qatar from GWM Group Chief Executive David Howell.
