Hallmark Electronics Ltd is an independent Contract Electronics Manufacturer (CEM) based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire. Established in 1979, the company specialises in the design, development, assembly, and manufacture of printed circuit boards (PCBs). Hallmark operates from a purpose-built facility that includes in-house PCB manufacturing and assembly capabilities, serving customers across the UK and internationally.
The company works with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in a range of sectors including military, medical, oil and gas, industrial, music, and motor racing (including Formula 1). Hallmark’s founder, Colin Ince, has a background in both engineering and the military, which helped shape the company’s focus on supplying custom PCB solutions from a UK base.
Hallmark has adopted and integrated a wide range of technologies over the years, including multilayer PCBs (up to 40 layers), flexible and flex-rigid PCBs, and aluminium-clad technologies. In response to customer demand, Hallmark expanded its operations in 1988 to include PCB assembly services, enabling customers to access both manufacturing and assembly from a single site.
The company offers a broad set of services, including:
-
Electronic and PCB layout design
-
UK-based and overseas PCB manufacture (on request)
-
Surface mount, through-hole, and BGA assembly
-
Component sourcing and kitting
-
Full box build, including metalwork, painting, and silkscreening
-
Final functional testing
All services are delivered from a single site, reducing the need for multiple suppliers and streamlining the procurement process. With over four decades of experience, Hallmark continues to invest in its staff, equipment, and infrastructure to support evolving customer needs and maintain its position within the UK electronics manufacturing sector.
