Find The Needle Add My Company
Injection Mouldings Ltd Investment Continues
The decision to buy two Romi Machines broke the monopoly of a rival supplier at Injection Mouldings Ltd in Cheltenham. Last year the company doubled its factory space to 15,000sq ft and it has housed the latest Romi EN 200 in the new area, the EN 70 in the established working space. A 21 year old business with on-going growth ambitions, Injection Mouldings diversified about ten years ago from serving only the building supplies trades to a much wider customer base, including many well-known engineering and electronics companies. The 70 tonne Romi was a direct replacement for a similarly sized rival machine but the 200 tonne model bridged a gap between the company’s 150 and 270 tonne models. Now Injection Mouldings is looking to add an even larger 500 tonne machine and the company says that Romi is on the short-list after a good experience with the purchase of the first two models. “Romi has a good and growing reputation. You hear good stories in the market,” says Steve Rawse, managing director of Injection Mouldings. “They keep a good supply of spare parts in the UK and the machines are very energy efficient (which given power costs is important) and easy to use. The touch screen user interface is very accessible and well liked by the operators. Romi provided onsite training and subsequently two setters have visited Romi with another group set to follow shortly. They are a very professional company.” Injection Mouldings has invested about £200,000 with Romi over the past six months. It currently operates with 16 injection moulding machines and offers a 24/5 service.
