One of the most commonly known use for CCTV on a farm would be for farm security, with a huge increase in metal and diesel thefts from farms over the past 3 years due to increasing diesel prices and the cost of raw materials such as copper and lead, farms are becoming an easy target because of there remote location and poor lighting. According to a survey taken by the NFU Mutual rural crime cost the UK an estimated £42.3M during 2012, with the main items targeted by criminals including quad bikes, trailors, fuel & tools.
