The low noise - high efficiency - low pulsation gear pump reduces noise level by an average of 15 dBA.

The reduced noise comes by virtue of fewer gear teeth and the helical gear design ensures continuity of motion. The low number of teeth reduces the fundamental frequencies of the pump noise, so producing less sound. The helical profile of the gears ensures low pulsation and vibration, thereby protecting sensitive equipment such as filter elements, cooler matrix etc.
Axial forces induced by the helical teeth are optimally balanced in all operating conditions by the axial compensation system integrated in the flange and pump cover. Insulated by special gaskets reinforced with anti-extrusion seals, this compensation system allows for fully free axial and radial movement of the bushes, which is proportional to pump operating pressure. In this way, internal leakage is dramatically reduced, ensuring excellent volumetric and mechanical pump efficiencies, as well as proper lubrication of pump's moving parts.
The lower noise produced is a major benefit under modern day health and safety guidelines and the lower pulsation and vibration values result in the need for fewer damping components within any system, saving costs and required space for the complete system.
The Elika pump range has now been extended to include groups 1, 1P, 2, 3 and 4 gear pumps with displacements from 2.1 cm3/rev up to 199.8 cm3/rev. with the possibility to build all groups into multiple form. ELI4 + ELI3 + ELI2 etc. The complete Elika range are directly interchangeable both in form and fit to the popular ALP & GHP series of Marzocchi external gear pumps. ELIKA pumps are available in both uni-directional clockwise or anti-clockwise rotation.
