WHAT TESTS ARE INVOLVED TO OBTAIN THE BSI KITEMARK?

BSI accreditation demonstrates to customers and suppliers that JCS hose clamps are produced to the highest quality. Here at JCS we proudly claim our worm drive hose clamps are widely regarded as being the best high pressure hose clamps in the world. But don’t just take our word for it. JCS hose clamps also have numerous accreditations from all the key standard bodies relevant to our sector. KITEMARK APPROVAL This includes Kitemark approval from the BSI Group, recognised the world over as a marque of quality and consistency. To obtain Kitemark certification, products are assessed by BSI Product Services to ensure that they meet the requirements of the relevant British and European trade associations and international specification or standard. INDEPENDENT AUDIT In our case the standard is BS 5315, which refers to the manufacture and supply of worm drive hose clamps for general purpose use. In addition, delivery of a product is audited by a BSI assessor against an accredited quality management system – ISO 9001. This covers a range of areas from the procedures and controls within an organisation to whether its people are effectively trained and engaged. ON-GOING MONITORING And it doesn’t just end when a Kitemark licence is issued – it is an on-going process where licensees are regularly audited and are subject to surveillance visits to ensure continuing compliance.
