Users of powered access and plant hire equipment may not be shaken but they could well be stirred by news that JMS has opened new offices at Pinewood Studios – the home of James Bond 007 film production.
JMS Plant Hire now has a front row seat when it comes to delivering powered access machines and other plant hire equipment to the biggest film studio in the UK, where the new Star Wars movie trilogy is being made.
JMS Managing Director Mark Jackson said: “The UK film industry is worth nearly £5 billion a year, and is growing. Film and TV production companies are big users of powered access, whether it be building sets, setting up lighting and sound systems of providing camera platforms.
“Therefore, Pinewood Studios is precisely the right place to have a permanent presence. We’re excited by the business opportunities this development will bring. The idea that our kit could be used on the Star Wars set adds a little excitement, but we won’t be getting starry-eyed.
