Graham and Jean were fed up with their long thin garden that veered off at a tangent - a garden that gave them no pleasure at all so they came to us to solve their problem. They wanted a stylish garden to spend time in during the day and at night. Their requirements included a dining area, privacy, scent, colour, evergreen planting, storage and a tree or two.
We created a circular timber and wrought iron gazebo at the bottom of the garden to dine beneath that was underlit and festooned with wisteria. This was linked to the house by a series of circles of either cobble paving, gravel or turf. This created unity and interest whilst also making the space seem wider and took ones' attention away from the awkward shape. More height and structure was created within the space with the use of four underlit silver birch trees surrounding the largest circle. Other planting was colour themed and scented again to create a sense of harmony and unity. Finally in keeping with the era of the house we selected a reclaimed mill stone and turned it into a simple and child friendly water feature.
