The Metropolitan Police was founded by Sir Robert Peel in 1829 and today covers an area of 620 square miles and a population of 7.2 million people.
After a rigorous tendering and prequalification process, we were one of two signage companies selected to support its Safer neighbourhoods programme.
The signage was an important part of a community initiative designed to encourage people to walk into high street locations that didn’t feel like police stations. We produced external fascia signs, window displays, notice boards and poster cases for all of their sites around London.
The project went well – with the result that we were awarded the whole signage contract for the Metropolitan Police. This includes producing their corporate signage manual, acting as their brand guardians, and installing a wide range of signs in police stations, custody centres and their Empress State Building head office in Lillie Road.
