Xstrata

Working closely with a top London design agency, John Anthony Signs were instrumental in taking the designers concept to 3 dimensional reality. A stunning concept was developed for the new offices of Xstrata, which included an array of mosaics that flowed along the office corridors bringing a splash of colour to their office environment. The project also included routered patterns into cupboard doors, over 60m of window vinyl, reception signs and canvas artworks. There were over 2,500 individual pieces making up the complex patterns that weave through the office corridors. Each piece was made up of 3mm, 5mm, 10mm or 20mm thick pieces of aluminium all painted one of 21 different colours to make up the mosaic. The project also included 105m of etched window film that interwove cleverly with the mosaics. The project was technically incredibly complex but as a result very rewarding for the designer, contractor and the John Anthony Signs team. The overall effect was stunning and the client was thrilled with the interpretation of the designer's concept.
