RBLI monument

On the 15th September 2017, a memorial monolith, manufactured and installed by John Anthony Signs was unveiled by the Rt Hon Sir Michael Fallon KCB MP Secretary of State for Defence to launch a memorial garden that was opened at the Royal British Legion Village in Aylesford. More than 100 dignitaries, volunteers and former service personnel turned out for the unveiling of the Garden of Honour. The venue will be used for events throughout the year and will be seen as a place for reflection and companionship. The Director of RBLI Living stated “Thank you all for your efforts and speed with this project – it now sits proudly in place between our new apartments and in front of the gold medal winning Chelsea garden – and it looks like it was always planned to be there. Many thanks.”
