Karmelle Ltd designs complete filling line for kefir brand

Karmelle Ltd has designed and built a turnkey filling, capping and labelling system for Yorvale, helping the ice cream brand to increase production of its new kefir drink, Yorlife. Yorvale has been producing award-winning dairy ice cream for almost 30 years, and approached Karmelle after adding kefir to its product range. The brand needed hygienic bottling equipment, capable of filling, capping and labelling 230ml and 500ml containers. Karmelle’s team designed and built a complete bottling line, featuring an air rinser, flow meter filling machine, three-head rotary screw capping machine, automatic labeller and collection table. The equipment was installed in a new production room on Fossfield Farm. Karmelle’s engineers have since added two new filling heads, helping Yorvale meet demand for its kefir. The line is now running at speeds of 60 bottles per minute. Ian Buxton, Yorvale's Managing Director, explained: “We chose Karmelle because of its reputation for high-quality machinery and excellent after-care.”
