Martin’s Kilimanjaro Challenge

Team Karmelle aren’t afraid of a challenge, whether it’s on the shop floor, or slightly further afield. Take CNC Operator Martin; earlier this year, he swapped his PPE gear for hiking boots and traveled to Tanzania for the adventure of a lifetime – climbing Mount Kilimanjaro! Martin (third from right) reaches the summit of Kilimanjaro We couldn’t be prouder of Martin, who prepared for the challenge by walking home after overtime shifts. He admits that Huddersfield’s hills did little to prepare him for the effects of altitude sickness, but still managed to reach the summit – raising almost £900 for Prostate Cancer UK in the process.
