Kingly Celebrates Four Years of Commitment to the United Nations Global Compact

Kingly is proud to mark four years as an active participant in the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative. By pledging to uphold the Compact’s ten universal human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption principles, Kingly has committed to promoting ethical business practices, transparency, and sustainability across all facets of its operations.

The UN Global Compact has been instrumental in helping us align our values with global sustainability goals,” said Rob Armour, CEO of Kingly. “Our participation strengthens our commitment to ethical practices and allows us to lead by example in the textile industry.”

Since joining the Compact, Kingly has filed annual reports detailing its dedication to these principles, which have become the foundation of its business model. Through sustainable practices such as using upcycled and organic cotton and eco-friendly packaging, Kingly minimizes its environmental footprint. Leveraging the BCOME Cradle-to-Gate platform, Kingly tracks emissions, water use, and waste throughout the production process, while accreditations like EcoVadis Platinum Medal, OEKO-TEX STeP, GOTS and GRS ensure responsible chemical management, social responsibility, and environmental performance.

Kingly’s commitment extends to responsible work practices, and maintaining the highest standards in health, safety, and fairness through SMETA Pillar 4 audits, SMETA PILLAR 4, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certifications. The company also promotes fair wages, eliminates child labor, and creates sustainable local jobs within Europe, aligning with the Compact’s labor and social goals.

One of Kingly’s standout achievements is the integration of QR codes on products, providing customers with real-time lifecycle data. This innovative approach offers insights into each product’s environmental impact and social contributions, ensuring customers can confidently support a brand that prioritizes ethical and sustainable practices.

Also, through our partnership with Greenspark, we have planted over 23,500 trees by now. Some of the UN-approved projects we have supported are “American Forests” (North America), “EarthLungs Reforestation” (Kenya) and “Eden Reforestation” Projects (Nicaragua and Honduras).

As Kingly celebrates this milestone, the company remains dedicated to advancing the principles of the UN Global Compact, ensuring sustainable practices, ethical production, and meaningful community impact.

The United Nations Global Compact is a call to companies everywhere to align their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption, and to take action in support of UN goals and issues embodied in the Sustainable Development Goals.

The UN Global Compact is a leadership platform for the development, implementation and disclosure of responsible corporate practices. Launched in 2000, it is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world, with more than 9,500 companies and 3,000 non-business signatories based in over 160 countries, and more than 70 Local Networks.
