Kingly had the distinct honour of welcoming His Excellency Nathaniel Copsey, British Ambassador to Bulgaria, and Mr. Tim Buissseret, Commercial Attaché to the British Embassy, to its headquarters and production facility in Sofia on 8 April 2025.
Mrs. Dilyana Maneva, Deputy Executive Director of the For Our Children Foundation, and Mrs. Rumiana Jeleva, Corporate Partnerships Manager at SOS Children’s Villages Bulgaria, joined the delegation. Their presence reflected Kingly’s growing engagement with leading non-governmental organisations, underscoring the company’s long-term commitment to social impact and community-driven initiatives.
The guests were welcomed by Mr. Robert Armour, CEO of Kingly, and Mr. Chris Edmonds, COO, who guided the group through Kingly’s award-winning textile facility. The visit demonstrated the company’s position at the forefront of sustainable innovation, ethical production, and international collaboration.
A key focus of the visit was Kingly’s proprietary Cradle-to-Gate sustainability tracking system. Each product carries a unique QR code that links to a detailed sustainability report, offering complete transparency on carbon footprint, ethical sourcing, traceability, and verified environmental data.
The delegation also explored Kingly’s production model, which transforms textile waste into high-performance upcycled products. These practices are backed by leading global certifications, including Ecovadis Platinum (Top 1%), OEKO-TEX® STeP Level 3, GOTS, ISO 9001 & 14001, and Sedex SMETA 4-Pillar auditing.
This visit came just one week after Kingly was named Best Manufacturer of the Year at the BizX 2025 Awards in the UK, where CEO Rob Armour shared the stage with British sporting and business figures, including Daley Thompson, Gary Vaynerchuk, and Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill.
His Excellency and Mr. Buissseret also took a particular interest in Kingly’s charitable work supporting underprivileged children and families across Bulgaria. These include regular donations, fundraising campaigns, and volunteer-led initiatives in partnership with local NGOs.
To commemorate the visit, Kingly presented 20 pairs of bespoke, embroidered socks to Ambassador Copsey and shared that a similar set was recently created for British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer—symbolising a commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and the British-Bulgarian partnership.
“This visit was about celebrating values—sustainability, unity, integrity, and the power of meaningful collaboration. It was a bridge between Britain and Bulgaria, built not just on trade, but on shared purpose,” said Rob Armour, CEO of Kingly.
Kingly extends its sincere thanks to Ambassador Nathaniel Copsey and Mr. Tim Buissseret for their visit, their support, and their recognition of the company’s mission to manufacture with conscience, innovate with purpose, and lead the way towards a more sustainable textile industry—one stitch at a time.
