Flat Wire

Knight Precision Wire has extensive facilities for producing high quality flat wire to tight tolerances. We have five rolling mills, equipped with edge-rolling and laser gauging, to ensure exact measurements. The standard finish is round edge flat wire, but squared edges can be produced as required. For stainless steel, we can produce flat wire up to 8.00mm wide and 3.00mm thick. Softer materials can be rolled into larger sections. KPW’s particular skills in wire rolling are the production of thin narrow sections of flat wire (with width to thickness ratios of less than 8:1), and the rolling of hard stainless steel to produce very high tensile flat wire. Depending on requirements, the flat wire can be precision layer wound on spools to ensure a steady, controlled payoff during customers production.
