Square Wire and Shaped Wire

Knight Precision Wire has developed an expertise in rolling square and shaped wires in a range of profiles – using materials as diverse as mild steel, stainless steel and brass. The most common profile is a square wire, but we also produce half-round, hexagonal wire and elliptical cross-section wire. Square wire is produced in stainless steel up to 4.0mm square, and larger for non-ferrous materials. Half-round wire is produced up to 5.00mm, again for stainless steel. The equipment used to produce these shaped wire profiles includes a range of turkshead units, draw plates and stainless steel rolls precision ground to give the wire its precise profile.
