Kugel Aerospace & Defence manufacture ø75x20mm 6-start planetary roller screw. Planetary Roller Screw At Kugel Aerospace & Defence, our engineering team are always keen to be challenged and the manufacture of a 75mm diameter multi-start planetary roller screw was our most recent engineering challenge, and our largest precision thread ground screw to date. Our solution was to manufacture the screw with specially designed tooling, enabling us to manufacture 3 starts at once, meaning that the machine only needed to index 180° to achieve the required 6 starts.
