The new EA9 family of C-more Human-Machine Interface products from Automation Direct are powered by faster 800 MHz processors for enhanced performance and have a number of new features. The new models are designed as direct drop-in replacements for the existing EA7 range but need to be programmed with the new EA9 programming software. Anyone who already has the EA7 programming software can download the new package and use their existing license code. C-more EA7 programs can also be converted for the new models simply by opening and saving them with the new software. The family includes models with 5.7″, 8.4″ 10.4″, 12.1″ and 15″ displays – all TFT colour with 64k colours and reliable 50,000 hour backlights.The hardware incorporates 3 serial ports (one on the 5.7″ models), an Ethernet port (on all full-featured models), a USB programming port, a USB port for connecting devices such as mice, keyboards, bar code readers and memory sticks, SD memory card slot for data storage (two on the 12.1″ and 15″ models) and an HDMI video output port for driving a second display. An audio output also provides the capability of outputting audible warnings when connected through an amplifier to external speakers. All panels require 12-24VDC power but an optional 100-240VAC power supply module is also available.
