We Will Remember Them
14-11-2018
Along with millions of people all over the world Laser Process remembered the fallen of the two World Wars, and other conflicts, at the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Armistice which became effective at 11am on the 11th of November 1918.
Laser Process, in collaboration with Cannock Chase District Council, produced a, gas-lit, beacon which was lit at a memorial service at St Lukes Church. It was designed by Danielle Preston, a graphic designer at CCDC and manufactured at our Cannock plant.
The four-sided beacon features laser-cut images depicting Cannocks mining heritage and that of the surrounding Cannock Chase.
Jonathan Horne, Managing Director of Laser Process Ltd, said:“It’s been an honour to work with Cannock Chase Council and Inspiring healthy lifestyles on this inspirational project. I think everyone will agree this memorial is something to be proud of. It’s a truly memorable tribute, designed and manufactured in Cannock by local people and is dedicated to the men & women who sacrificed their all for the greater good of our country and freedom”.
Miniature versions of the beacon are being produced by Laser Process and will be presented to each of the local schools.
The beacon is the latest example of public artwork to which Laser Process have contributed for the Cannock area having first being involved in supplying all the components for the mining heritage statue on Queens Square roundabout.
