A school in Pforzheim, South West Germany called ‘Nordstadtschule’ had to temporarily relocate to a new building while the existing school was redeveloped. A fully modular construction process was used to achieve the especially challenging deadline, ensuring that the new teaching rooms were completed by the time students came back from their summer holidays.
The contractor quickly erected two buildings from 150 modules that arrived on site pre-clad, insulated and fitted with plumbing and electrics. Lindapter’s Type F9 clamps were used to quickly attach the modules to a steel framework that was in turn supported by screw foundations.
The Type F9 clamps avoided the need to drill or weld the modules and provided lateral adjustability which ensured an efficient process without delays and disruption from unforeseen issues on-site such as the misalignment of drilled holes.
