Whilst the train is moving at speed, there are a lot of forces to contend with, mainly from vibrations. Under these forces, the natural tendency would be for the sensor unit to simply fly off the hub. To prevent this, MSS has supplied an extremely powerful Neodymium Iron Boron assembly with a minimum holding force of 150kg. This is required to overcome the forces involved and ensure that the sensor unit remains attached to the hub. Each one of the assemblies was fully pull-tested before being dispatched to ensure total quality control.
