Price Increases in Raw Material

The cost of Rare Earth magnet material such as Neodymium, Boron, Cobalt and Samarium has seen dramatic increases in cost, with prices rising by 40% over the previous 4 months. Although not particularly rare, these raw materials are in short supply because of world demand. Coupled with rising energy costs, this means that finished magnet prices are seeing a 20-30% increase and prices can only be fixed over short periods.
