Rare Metal Recovery from Catalytic Converter Rec

PRL of Swindon contacted MSS as they needed urgent help with the removal of ferrous contamination in their core material which is recovered from used catalytic converter units. After a visit to the plant, Magnet Sales quickly identified where and how a suitable solution could be employed to solve the problem. MSS has supplied some high strength and robust magnetic tubes (pictured below) that enabled unwanted ferrous material to be trapped, whilst allowing the ceramic core material to fall through into the hoppers below. Previously this sorting work was done by hand, a slow and tedious process which was not particularly effective.
