MAHA makes use of the Potential of New Markets and Gets the Largest Order in its History TÜVTURK Counts on MAHA Products MAHA Maschinenbau Haldenwang, leading manufacturer of motor vehicle test and lifting equipment has partnered with TÜV SÜD to participate in an important foreign project. As an EU candidate country, Turkey, to an increasing degree, is taking over EU statutory and technical standards. For this reason, the Turkish government has signed a franchise contract with TÜV TÜRK for the conducting of periodical vehicle inspection in Turkey. Accordingly, TÜVTURK will set up a country-wide network of almost 200 service centers on the Bospurus in the coming months equipped with MAHA Premium Workshop Equipment. It is planned that already in the fourth quarter of 2007 the first Turkish vehicle will receive an inspection seal. TÜVTURK is at the starting line: two Service Centers are already running in test operation and by the end of 2008 TÜVTURK will set up 189 test stations and about 470 test lanes country-wide with state-of-the-art MAHA technology. Another 38 mobile units will cover the sparsely populated regions. Most stations will be run under a franchising system. MAHA Academy Trains Turkish Technicians TÜVTURK will eventually have 2,000 employees and 100 have already been recruited. The managers will receive special training courses at the MAHA Academy. Special training programs will be developed for this in cooperation with TÜV SÜD Academy and will include topics such as vehicle technology, Turkish and European road traffic laws as well as customer service. The first technicians are already practicing the proper techniques for conducting vehicle inspection at the Yalova TÜV station. All total 2,000 employees will be hired for operating the Service Centers. TÜVTURK will train them modeled on the German motor vehicle assessor system: the instruction plan incorporates vehicle technology, Turkish and European road traffic laws and training in customer service. MAHA’s operator friendly technology for testing, lifting and measuring facilitates quick commissioning and a smooth workflow.
