Collecting Lots in IBCs

With IBCs up to 3500L in capacity, the Matcon IBC system provides the flexibility for collecting lots - either one granulation lot or possibly multiple lots from the fluid bed dryer in a single IBC. Using large IBCs means fewer IBCs are required overall to run the process. Consequently, fewer movements of IBCs, less make/break connections, reduced testing cycles and less cleaning all contribute towards improved efficiencies and reduced manpower. Homogenising the lots after drying gives reassurance of product consistency. The large IBCs can be mixed using a Matcon IBC Blender. Matcon IBCs, with integral Cone Valve technology, have also been proven to overcome powder flow issues, delivering a controlled, automatic discharge of material and protection against segregation
