Matcon IBCs in Wet Granulation

Collecting all excipients and API into a single IBC which contains the full lot to be wet granulated is the most Lean methodology. When comparing with drum tipping or vacuum transfer, the overall throughput of a granulation system using Matcon IBCs can be improved by an estimated 10-30%. The manual, time-consuming and often dusty dispensing operation can be carried out away from the granulator, with the IBC feeding it directly via gravity. As the Matcon system is a closed system, dust is kept to a minumum. The Matcon Cone Valve IBCs have been proven to deal effectively with sticky materials such as Metformin without the need for operator intervention. Using Matcon IBCs allows a full granulation lot to be discharged completely and quickly.
