Designed to create additional manufacturing capacity, deliver operational efficiencies and support the development and expansion of Naylor Drainage’s product range. Investment in the site’s operations will include the construction of an additional 4,700 m2 manufacturing facility which will increase production capacity by 50 per cent; the purchase of new production equipment, and a £1-million investment in a centralised cooling system which will reduce water consumption. New warehousing space is also being created to allow for future growth.
A new 1,300m2 modular office building will increase office space by more than 50% and include better employee welfare and training facilities as well as a customer showroom. In line with Naylor’s commitment to being a net zero business, the new offices will benefit from the highest levels of insulation and be ready to house solar panels.
Phill Poulter, Deputy Managing Director of Naylor Drainage, comments: “With over 130 years’ experience of providing high performance drainage solutions, we have a long track record in the development of technologies, facilities and people. This latest programme of investment lays the foundations for strong business growth and product innovation. Specifically, it will enable us to build upon our activity with current clients and our status as the preferred drainage provider to National Highways while ensuring we can capitalise on new opportunities presented in the power and EV markets. Importantly, it will also help us meet our net zero commitments for the benefit of our customers and wider society.”
