Nissan Forklift expands its heavy forklift offer with the all new ZX Series Forklift.

Nissan Forklift introduces the new ZX Series, the successor to the long lasting FX5 Series which was available from 5.0 to 7.0 tonne. The new ZX Series truck is expanding the range to 8.0 tonne, starting from 6.0 tonne. The 5.0 tonne variant is available from the GX Series range. Heavyweight Performer The Nissan Forklift ZX Series provides its users with consistently reliable performance and impressive productivity results – all while keeping the environment free from heavy exhaust emissions. At the heart of this machine is one of the most highly durable and powerful diesel engines in its class. Equipped with a common rail fuel injection system using an intercooled turbocharger design, the ZX Series efficiently delivers maximum horsepower at low engine speeds – effortlessly allowing this workhorse to move loads up to 8.0 tonne with an available lift height of 8.0 meters. In heavy industrial environments under extreme conditions is where the ZX Series truly excels. Its 2-speed automatic transmission, wide view carriage and full suspension seat keep the operator comfortable and productive. Smart, Powerful Technology The engine’s turbocharger creates more power by compressing the inlet air and forcing it into the cylinder. This constant pressure boost occurs over the entire rpm range, for greater torque at low speeds. To further maximize the turbo’s benefits, an intercooler chills the compressed air, creating a denser intake charge. Two important benefits result: more power for the operator and a large reduction in nitrogen oxides emissions (NOx) through its Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR). It’s because of this design that the ZX Series emits exhaust levels well below what’s required by Stage IIIA standards. The ZX’s advanced engine technology includes a common rail fuel injection system, which uses the optimal amount of fuel at the ideal time, resulting in greater power with improved fuel economy. Highly Productive Designs The ZX’s comfort system includes a full suspension seat, pedals mounted to the chassis frame and rubber shock absorbers located throughout the truck to reduce engine and transmission vibration. Its hydraulic boosted brakes mean less wear and tear on the brakes and the operator. The wideview carriage provides improved forward and fork tip visibility for greater security and enhanced productivity. Its 2-speed automatic transmission minimises shift lock due to shortened shift time lag. A travel speed selection switch allows the operator to select the appropriate transmission speed pattern according to the operation’s environmental conditions. (Normal, Gradient or High Speed). This Risk Reduction System (RRS) includes a seat-actuated power interrupt with mast-lock, automatically preventing lift and tilt operations when the operator leaves the seat. Its return-to-neutral minimizes forklift movement once the operator leaves the truck while still in gear. Greater Reliability, Greater Value Capitalize on the owner operation’s equipment by keeping service time low. Its self diagnostic troubleshooting codes are displayed on the instrument panel to facilitate maintenance or repairs. Its smart layout and ample clearance means preventative maintenance tasks can be quickly performed. A two-piece floorboard is easily removed without tools to simplify access to transmission and hydraulic components. Superior cooling capacity offers greater reliability under heavy usage or high temperatures. The system includes rubber mounted, heavy-duty radiator and transmission oil coolers to reduce flexing and absorb vibration. Furthermore, the ZX Series includes an engine protection and warning system to reduce engine rpm in the event of excessive heat generation.
