Advanced Access ‘Goes Green’ for London
19-03-2018
Advanced Access Platforms has opened a new depot in central London and has chosen Niftylift to help meet the challenges of the Low Emission Zone
London based Advanced Access Platforms has opened a new depot located just across the Thames from the Millennium Dome in Central London. The depot is ideally situated to allow Advanced Access to continue to build its customer base in the busy capital, and with a new fleet of Niftylift Hybrid and Electric booms, the only way is up, with blue skies ahead!
‘Go-Green London’
Advanced Access chose the Niftylift products due to their environmentally conscious power systems and their low overall weight.
John Corcoran, Director at Advanced Access Platforms commented:
“For us, choosing Niftylifts is a ‘no-brainer’ for working in London. They all conform to the Low Emission Zone requirements and the lower machine weights mean that we can transport them around the city on smaller wagons, keeping costs down to a minimum.”
New environmental initiatives such as the Low Emission Zone (LEZ) in central London and the new Ultra-Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) for 2019, mean that environmental performance has never been more important.
Niftylift’s entire Hybrid range conforms to the current LEZ standards and the 2019 ULEZ standards, so they are the smartest choice for companies investing in London’s healthy pipeline of work.
Advanced Access has embraced the ‘Go-Green London’ ideal by electing to go with Nifty Hybrid, or electric booms across the board and is starting its new fleet with some great choices:
Niftylift’s HR28 Hybrid (already out on hire), the world’s tallest electric powered boom and the largest machine in Niftylift’s range; the HR21 Hybrid, our industry’s first true parallel-hybrid platform; the HR17 Hybrid, winner of the Queen’s Award for Innovation and perhaps most notably, Niftylift’s brand new HR12L (Low-Weight), an all-electric super low-weight 12m boom.
The HR12L is 1.79m wide and weighs just 2,540kgs, allowing it to be transported on a trailer, for low cost transportation. It is powered by AGM (maintenance-free) batteries that offer more than double the capacity of its predecessor, allowing it to work for extended duty cycles measured in days rather than hours. It also includes a new ‘Hybrid’ ToughCage and Niftylift’s award-winning SiOPS® as standard.
Niftylift stands-out in our industry as the first manufacturer to tackle the challenges of environmental performance head-on. By taking the lead with the introduction of true hybrid power systems, integral secondary guarding (SiOPS®) combined with award winning low weight & compact machine designs, Niftylift continues to affirm its place at the technological forefront of the Powered Access industry.
