With over 20 years of experience in hybrid power, Niftylift leads the way in providing and developing hybrid-powered MEWPs. Following many years of developing and testing, Niftylift first introduced a true parallel-hybrid powertrain to the market back in 2007 with the HR21 4x4, becoming the world’s first manufacturer of MEWPs (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms) to do so. Since then we have been paving the way, developing cutting-edge hybrid technology, and in 2018 we launched our second-generation hybrid system, known as Gen2 Hybrid. All of our Gen2 Hybrid machines are equipped with smaller, EU Stage V (Tier 4 Final in the US) compliant engines. These power-optimised Gen2 Hybrids use up to 50% less fuel than Diesel-only engines, making them much more efficient. In fact, since Niftylift’s hybrid work platforms were introduced to the market, over 5.5 million litres of fuel have been saved! Niftylift hybrid machines also have a ‘Diesel Re-Gen’ feature, which charges up the batteries twice as fast as AC by using any surplus Diesel power produced by the engine during operation. With this feature, over 15kWhs have been generated without drawing from the electricity grid. And if you need to work in areas where noise or emissions need to be limited, you can switch off the Diesel engine and work solely with the electric motor, ensuring a clean and quiet performance.
