Staff from Niftylift show their support for 'Armed Forces Day'
Saturday the 29th of June is 'Armed Forces Day' and to show our support for these brave men and women, members of staff at Niftylift's Shenley Wood site gathered together to #SaluteOurForces this week.
Armed Forces Day is an opportunity for us 'civilians' to show our support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving troops to service families, veterans and cadets, and Niftylift is very pleased to show its support.
We at Niftylift are very grateful for the bravery and the sacrifices that our armed forces make on behalf of us and our country and are proud to be able to salute them for all they have done. We thank you.
The Milton Keynes team are pictured underneath the boom of the Queen's Award-winning HR28 4x4, demonstrating exactly what 19m of unrestricted outreach looks like.
They were also joined, rather appropriately, by an armoured vehicle kindly supplied by George Jackson, a member of Niftylift's Product Development team. In case you're interested, the armoured vehicle is a Daimler Ferret MK1-2. This one was built in 1962 and spent most of its active life as a reconnaissance vehicle in Germany during the cold war, but also did a tour in The Gulf in 1991. Its armour can stop bullets up to 50 cal and it can go as fast in reverse as it can going forward (55mph)!
