Our diesel and hybrid machines can run on Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) as a greener alternative
Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) is a paraffinic diesel, produced by hydrotreatment, extracted from different sources such as vegetable fats or oils. HVO fuels that meet EN15940 standard for paraffinic fuels and Fuel Quality Directive 2009/30/EC Annex II have been approved by Niftylift without any requirement for any engine modification.
HVO offers a greatly reduced environmental impact compared to fossil diesel, being free of both sulphur and aromatics. Fuelling your Niftylift machines with HVO can reduce your net greenhouse emissions by up to a massive 90%.
Opting for HVO is easy because it uses the same tanks and pumps as regular diesel, and is stored in the same way too. All of our hybrid and diesel powered machines now have the option of being fuelled with 100% HVO, while using 100% renewable and sustainable waste.
While HVO offers huge benefits in reducing net CO2 emissions and can be used as a replacement fuel for diesel, switching between fuel types should be approached with caution.
