About Us

North Lincs Engineering Ltd began operations in March 1963 as Diesel and Mechanical Engineers, and initially also handled civil engineering equipment for pipe laying and thrust boring.

Before long, our focus shifted to generator plant removal and re-installation, a specialisation that began with the installation of a small Blackstone Generator for Mr Douglas Chapman, who manufactured transformers at a factory in Louth, Lincolnshire. This project connected us with an international diesel engine and generator dealer in Nottingham, who enlisted our services to dismantle and pack various engines and generators for export. This partnership opened up significant opportunities, including overseas work, where we began re-installing engines and generators on ships and in power stations around the world.

Since then, North Lincs Engineering has continued to offer these specialised services. Our largest project to date involved the removal of 650 tonnes of generating equipment from Athens, Greece, and its reinstallation in Jiangmen, China, to support the Chinese national grid.

Over the years, we have expanded our expertise to include handling engines of up to 3000HP for car shredders and automating power stations. We have carried out power station installations in numerous countries, including Pakistan, Nepal, Namibia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Turkey, Israel, Iceland, Italy, and even on the Isle of Sark.

Our commitment to delivering reliable engineering solutions, both domestically and internationally, remains at the heart of what we do at North Lincs Engineering Ltd.
