When a customer required a system for data collection of hundreds of temperatures from Power Station generation sets, MAXIFLEX was selected to acquire and transmit the data back to process computers via low cost twisted pair cabling. Conet Networking saved on cabling costs while MAXIFLEX saved on signal conditioning by providing the process computers linearised, compensated temperatures in either ?C or ?F.Features of this application:Solid State individually isolated thermocouple inputs for the price of a mulitplexer. Intelligent front-end provided linearised and compensated readings directly in degrees C Four alarm setpoints available on each input to reduce the load on the process computer. CONET twisted pair network operated over existing plant cables to eliminate entirely the need to run special communications cables RTU Configuration stored in a "dongle" allowing easy field maintenance.
