An interesting day with ARC
04-08-2016
On Wednesday 3rd August, Fabio and Jonathan from ARC joined us at the Pattersons Showroom in Bristol to educate staff and customers about the benefits of using Sublym glassware and Zenix whiteware in their catering establishment.
Anyone who stopped to have a chat with Fabio and Jonathan got to put the Zenix plates to the test, seeing how when a ball bearing is dropped on these plates, they are tough enough not to break – showing that glass plates can be tougher than ceramic plates when put to the test. Zenix plates are popular in the NHS due to the cost-saving of not having to replace them as often due to the fact they break less.
Jonathan and Fabio also spoke of the benefits of using Sublym glassware as restaurant glassware. Benefits include it being stronger due to the process it goes through to make it toughened glass and is guaranteed for 2,000 cycles in the dishwasher. Customers were also given a lesson in wine, getting to taste the difference in different wine glasses, learning how wine is best served in a bigger glass to give it chance to air.
Investing in Sublym glassware for restaurants and bars has several benefits; the glassware is designed to complement the taste of wine; by investing in your glasses with Sublym glassware it helps with the taste of the wine; it takes away the acidity in the wine and enhances the sweeter taste – overall improving the quality of the wine. For bars and restaurants, that means wines such as the house wine have an improved taste and prices can be increased, improving profit margins for a business.

We also got the chance to learn a few interesting facts on the day; we learnt that in the ARC factory in France, they produce 4-6 million pieces of glass per day, getting through 12 tonnes of Belgium sand every two hours!
After hearing what Fabio and Jonathan had to say about the benefits of Sublym glassware, one customer decided to replace his current Cabernet range with Sublym after it was explained to him that investing in his restaurant glassware will be beneficial in the long run as he will be spending less replacing broken glasses. He would also have very happy customers with the improved taste of the wine due to his new glassware.
With Pattersons currently offering buy one case, get one case free on ARC’s Sublym glassware in the Bristol Showroom until the 31st August, now is the time to switch your restaurant glassware.
