As part of an ongoing Airport expansion work, our expertise in vacuum excavation was called in by a new customer recently to provide a safe solution. With new sites and developments taking place around the area, our operators were tasked with locating existing active drain pipes known to be on site, however, as they weren’t mapped it made the job a little more complex and intricate. Proximity to the Airport Control Tower also made this job very sensitive, with a number of unrecorded services in the area of the site, even with it being a modern development, the risk of a strike had to be managed as this could have huge consequences to the Airport. However, our trained operators were able to complete the job within a day and impressed the customer after their first ever experience of seeing Vacuum Excavation at work.
