David Lloyd Hatfield

David Lloyd Hatfield is in a great location, tucked away in Hatfield Business Park but still within the heart of the community and close to the university. The club is based in The Hangar and there’s some brilliant history to the building. It was built back in the 1950s and is the only remaining aircraft hangar in Hatfield. It’s now a Grade II listed building and used to house a control tower, offices and fire station. David Lloyd members enjoy the great heritage that comes with the building, and whilst playing tennis on the indoor courts know that they are standing where all sorts of aircrafts from the past used to be stored, How about that for history! David Lloyd sports & Health club Hatfield wanted to make both swimming pools accessible and comply with the DDA, The Centre manager made contact with The pool Lift company as they wanted a pool lift to service both the indoor and outdoor pools for occasional use, The Pool lift surveyor met with the centres manager to discuss the options, with the main focus to make sure the pool lift could transfer from the changing room into the pool lift, after carrying out a full survey of both pools The Pool Lift company could offer the Blu Pod Pool lift as the width of the Blu Pod is only 500mm making sure it would fit through the narrow corridor’s and in and around both the indoor & outdoor swimming pools. The battery operated Blu-Pod Pool lift is a manual Pool Lift that has lifting capacity of 110kgs that can be easily maneuverer through narrow corridors.
