Evaporative Coolers Construction Materials
If you are hoping that your new cooling system is going to be a sure-fire long-term asset for your business, perhaps you should consider the evaporative coolers construction materials in some detail. When you install an evaporative cooler outside it is going to be exposed to whatever the weather has to throw at it every day of the year. Choosing evaporative coolers construction materials that are anything less that tough will cost your company dear.
It would be easy to assume that one large evaporative cooler is much the same as another, but in fact there are differences, between the brands. Panels, pumps and valves are all considered items that wear out over time and as such are easily replaceable, but the structure that these items are fitted into needs to be suitable for long-term service.
The smaller range of Met Mann static evaporative coolers, have tough, thick polyamide moulded top panels and base panels which are highly resistive to long-term UV exposure and do not crack or go brittle with age. Although the corner pillars are made from 304 stainless steel, the inlet louvers are available in either stainless steel or painted mild steel. The larger range of Met Mann evaporative coolers have 316 stainless steel tray and 304 stainless steel corner posts.
Both ranges of evaporative coolers have supporting base frame and legs are made from galvanised mild steel, and come with a choice of either painted mild steel louvers or stainless steel louvers. For most applications painted mild steel louvers would be fine however if the application is near the sea or in a more built up or polluted area of the country, then stainless steel louvers would be a better option.
