MechaTron® range of loss-in-weight feeders

Schenck Process MechaTron Installation Schenck Process have an extensive range of loss in weight feeders for a wide range of industry applications from feeding very small volumes of powder to large volumes of dry materials. The MechaTron® range are gravimetric feeders with a delivery rate between 100 g/h and 50 kg/h. Typical applications include feeding of extruders, mixers, mills and granulators. The MechaTron® products features a double shaft helix screw and vertical agitator that is designed to allow quick dismantling for cleaning and replacement of the discharge devices. This is a key feature to ensure that a high level of hygiene is maintained in the operation of this machine by clients where cleanliness is a critical factor. An example of the range is the Mechatron Min product which has two different feed hoppers are available to suit different products and delivery rates. The 4 litre hopper with negative taper has an agitator that works near the base and is suitable for manual filling and small outputs. The 8 litre hopper is conical and also has an agitator that works near the walls and a cover with refill and ventilation necks for larger outputs and automatic refilling. Both versions of the Mechatron Min come with integrated measurement, control and regulation electronics of the high quality that Schenck Process is renowned for. The drive and weighing technology is contained in a dust-protected housing and an extra protective housing can be fitted over the entire system to minimise environmental disturbances which is particularly recommended for small volume outputs. Other products in the MechaTron® range include the HC, MC and LC which have varying capacities for different materials and applications.
