Seaward shows support for youth charity
04-09-2018
A charity which helps vulnerable young people has been able to provide an extra service thanks to Seaward.
We provided a PrimeTest PAT testing device to The Anchorage Trust, allowing it to provide free electrical appliances to its service users.
The charity provides housing and other support to young people who are at risk of becoming homeless – including supplying them with basic household items.
Previously, the Trust was forced to turn down donations of electrical appliances as it wasn’t able to test them.
Our PrimeTest 100 device gives the charity the ability to check the safety of second hand appliances such as fridges and washing machines before installing them in its accommodation.
The Trust’s CEO, Colin Lang MBE, said: “Turning down donations is always hard to do so we’re delighted that we’re now able to say yes and help our young people.
“Appliances such as washing machines and fridges can be a big expense for all of us – let alone a young person who is trying to get on their feet.”
Seaward MD, Andrew Upton, added: “I’m delighted we were able to help The Anchorage Trust.
“Electrical safety has always been our number one priority – and we can’t underestimate the importance of ensuring the appliances in our homes are safe to use.
“The Anchorage Trust does amazing work in its community and it’s fantastic to see our products having such a huge impact on the lives of young people.”
