Hampshire Court, Bournemouth - Cold Water Tank Lining Hampshire Court, a privately owned apartment block in the centre of Bournemouth. We were contacted by a property management company in Bournemouth in respect of lining two galvanised cold water tanks which were located on the roof of the property. Each tank holding approximately 9,000 litres of water. Both tanks required lining with a potable water tank lining system to make them compliant with current water regulations, easier to clean and to maintain. Unlike a hotel, office building or factory which normally has a maintenance shutdown, this property is occupied all the year round and in order to ensure the residents have an uninterrupted water supply the work has to be carried out in two separate site visits. For this project we used our especially developed surface tolerant glass-flake reinforced epoxy resin tank lining system that has potable water and food contact approval. The first tank was completed in October 2012. And the second tank is planned to be lined in the spring of 2013 The tanks are constructed of riveted heavy galvanised steel plates and are likely to be been the original tanks dating back to when the property was built in the 1930’s which certainly makes these tanks some of the oldest tanks that we have worked on.
